Gráinne Gavigan

Having worked as a feature's assistant editor (35mm & digital) for a number of years, my first television series as Editor was the IFTA award-winning comedy series, Paths to Freedom. For over twenty years I've edited drama, comedy, documentary, feature and short film. Recent 2024 credits include the period crime drama series MISS SCARLET Season 5 for PBS, IRELAND'S COAST, a documentary for RTÉ / Arté and ALL THAT GLITTERS - a feature film.

Some of my own productions include an award-winning radio documentary which I produced for RTÉ Lyric FM called 'DICK FARRELLY - A QUIET MAN'.  It's a documentary about an Irish composer whose song The Isle of Innisfree influenced the iconic musical score in John Ford's film The Quiet Man.

I also made a short film. It's called SEA FOR YOUR SELF. It's about how swimming in the sea can help us cope with life's challenges. This short documentary was officially selected for screening at the inaugural Achill Island Film Festival in 2022 and screened at the Irish Film Institute.

I very much enjoy working in different genres of storytelling  - crafting meaningful, engaging and entertaining stories within a collaborative environment, while bringing interchangeable skills to each new project with a fresh perspective.
